About the ABA Business Services Team

History

Amanda Cumberbatch and Belinda Retamal are sisters who decided the time was right to take what they have gained from their professional careers to set up ABA Business Services.

They found that their individual working styles and knowledge complemented each other’s in surprising, and what turned out to be inseparable, ways.  This led to the natural progression of building their own practice combining their expertise and skills they’ve gained in the corporate world.

ABA Business Services opened its doors in 2017 and in the short time following they have been successfully building up a client list from a variety of industries.

Belinda Retamal

Belinda has had a flair for numbers her whole life.

She earned herself a Mathematics degree at university, with a minor in Accounting and Finance. From there she undertook actuarial studies while working as an actuarial analyst in Sydney. After four years, Belinda decided to move back home to Perth, and took up a methodology position with the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

While Belinda did enjoy this statistical role, she wanted to further her knowledge and skills and undertook an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. This then led to her working as a paraplanner and eventually a financial planner with the Commonwealth Bank.

Subsequent to having a family, Belinda has now chosen to enjoy working from home and is utilising her knowledge and skills acquired in the corporate world to help her clients keep current and stay on top of their bookkeeping and ATO obligations.
